Strategic Planning
The Synergy approach to Strategic Planning comprises two important steps.  In step one, we take the company leadership through a process that reaches far into what drives their business, defining the organizational purpose and clarifying the true vision, values and goals. In step two, we work with the same company leadership to create company-wide ownership of the organizational purpose and help them implement their strategies. As part of this planning effort, Synergy focuses on the identification of the critical elements of the clients business through a SWOTS Analysis. This process will define who they are.

In this approach, we first build an understanding of the importance of three critical areas of success:

  • What it takes to be world class
  • What is the purpose of your business
  • How to build company ownership through a clearly defined vision and a clear set of core value and goals


We then complete the Strategic Planning process with an introspective analysis of the company relating to:

  1. Strengths
  2. Weaknesses
  3. Opportunities
  4. Threats
  5. Strategies


Market Re-Positioning
The Synergy approach to Market Re-Positioning focuses on understanding how to successfully identify what markets truly fit the client’s business in today’s economic climate, what mistakes to avoid and what changes need to be made in order to re-position the company for that new marketing charge.   Once this direction is identified, Synergy develops a specific Sales Training program to effectively implement this change in market position.  This process will define where they want to go and will play a significant role in the development of new business plan.

In this approach, we look at:

  • Current and future assessment of the market
  • Services and products
  • Target clients, business partners and geographic expansion/contraction
  • Marketing materials and use
  • Developing the right marketing leadership


Business Plan Development
The Synergy approach to Business Plan Development takes the essence of the Strategic Planning and Market Re-Positioning processes and logically follows them through a more comprehensive analysis to further define and assess the business and the opportunities.  Additionally, we focus on developing, implementing, monitoring and measuring the technical goals and objectives along with their associated Action Plan.  Once the plan is developed and written, it will be the roadmap on how to get there.

In this approach, we add the “how to” to the Strategic Planning and Market Re-Position effort through a series of steps that:

  • Identify the most critical business priorities
  • Develop implementing strategies for staff and management
  • Create an Action Plan with metrics to monitor and measure results


The Action Plan essentially leads us to identify how we capitalize on the company strengths, overcome the weaknesses, take advantage of the opportunities, neutralize the threats and develop the strategies to be effective in delivering on the business plan.


Organizational Assessment
The Synergy approach to Organizational Assessment combines the talents of the Synergy business partners in taking an internalized view of the structure of the clients business and identifying where to make culture changes in the Social and Technical Architecture of that business.  Synergy utilizes the process of creating a diagrammatic visualization that will uniquely define the structure of the independent parts of the organization and how and where they integrate into the greater company team.

In this approach, we help identify, assess and communicate the components of an improved company structure through:

  • Detailed definition of the business units through their respective leaders
  • Development of an integrated model of the entire organization
  • Company-wide communication and implementation


Systems & Process Improvement
The Synergy approach to Systems and Process Improvement further analyzes the social and technical architecture of the business and implements the steps that we have taken each organization through.  In order to take the fear out of culture change, Synergy will help the company monitor the integration, provide guidance and, as necessary, recommend specific re-tooling programs for the Systems and Process Improvement. This approach, utilizing various methods of employee, management and client satisfaction surveys, will measure the progress and ultimately the success of this program.

In this approach, we wrap up the process through Systems and Process Improvements to finalize and fine tune the efforts in the areas of:

  • Re-tooling programs for the people and operations that define the social and technical architecture of the company
  • Monitoring the change with personal attention to employee, management and client relationships
  • Measuring and reporting the progress made with independent satisfaction surveys
